An essential part of running your Amazon FBA business is claiming the reimbursements that Amazon owes you on a regular, recurring basis. But anyone who has tried to do it on their own knows – it is tedious, time-consuming, and downright annoying to deal with.
That’s where these Amazon Reimbursement & Refund Tools / Services come in. They help you identify and claim reimbursements you’re entitled to, and some will even take care of the entire claims process too!

Different Ways to Claim Amazon Reimbursements
There’s a few different ways you can actually claim your reimbursements / refunds.
Keep in mind – unless you fully outsource this, you’ll need to do it on a regular basis. At least quarterly, preferably monthly (or even weekly for larger operations).
Manually Claiming Reimbursements
This is where most people start off. But most Amazon sellers quickly realize it’s just too much of a time-suck to continue doing manually on their own.
If you’d like to give it a shot, make sure to check out my 2024 Amazon FBA Reimbursements Guide.
You can outsource the process of doing it manually to a Virtual Assistant pretty easily. But if you’re already selling on Amazon, there’s a good chance you’re already paying for software with tools included to at least help automate parts of the process. Keep reading below to see which ones include this!
Using Software to Automate Reimbursement Reports
There’s multiple different Amazon seller software suites that include reimbursement / refund automation tools. They won’t completely eliminate the tedious busy-work involved in making claims, but they will help streamline various parts of the process.
Best of all – you’re probably already paying for this type of software right now!
- Sellerise offers an FBA Reimbursement Tool starting with their Growing plan ($31.99/mo w/ the STARTUPBROS20 coupon code).
- Helium 10 offers their Refund Genie tool starting with their Platinum plan ($80/mo w/ the STARTUPBROS20 coupon code).
- SellerBoard offers an FBA Reimbursement Tool with all their plans (starting at $15/mo)
Whether you take this process in-house or outsource it to one of the agencies below, it’s almost always worth it to use these software tools. Especially if you already pay for them!
Fully Outsourcing to Reimbursement/Refund Agencies
There’s a few benefits to fully outsourcing your reimbursement claims to a 3rd-party agency.
- Fully Outsourced (Save Time): Most agencies will handle the entire reimbursement process for you, all the way from auditing to filing claims themselves.
- Deeper Audits (More Money): Having a 3rd-party team of experienced auditors who are able to see patters across lots of claims enables you to find more reimbursements. Especially when that team gets paid based off how much money they find for you.
- Peace of Mind: Being able to fully stop thinking about this part of your business (while knowing it’s being fully taken care of) is great.
The downside is the cost. These agencies all charge a % commission of whatever funds they’re able to claim for you.
If you want to know my strategy for maximizing reimbursements while minimizing cost, make sure you read my 2024 Amazon FBA Reimbursements Guide. It talks about a blended approach and assigning two auditors to your account (so you are doing a first-pass with your own team, then passing to an agency that charges 10%, then assigning a 2nd auditor to do a 3rd sweep after 90-days).

I personally always do a first-pass with my in-house team to claim all the ‘low-hanging fruit’. These are my favorite tools to use for that. And like I said – you’re probably already paying for one!
#1: Sellerise (FBA Reimbursements Tool)
This reimbursement tool is so good that they used to charge an extra 10% commission, and people would still sign up just for that feature alone!
But they recently removed the extra commissions/fees entirely. Now Sellerise includes their reimbursement tool starting with their Growth plan. With the STARTUPBROS20 coupon code, that’s currently $31.99 per month.
It’s a solid tool that automates large portions of the reimbursement process, including submitting initial claims themselves!
#2: Helium 10 (Refund Genie)
Helium 10 was the first company to offer a bundled/commission-free reimbursement tool inside of their software suite. It’s included in their Platinum plan (or higher), which will run you $80/mo with the STARTUPBROS20 coupon code.
#3: Sellerboard
All though I haven’t personally used Sellerboard’s new reimbursement tool, I am sure it’s doing pretty much the same things as all the others. So if you’re already paying for Sellerboard, use it!
Honorable Mention: Refund Pad
Refund Pad is the one company here doing things differently. You pull all the relevant Amazon reports, upload them to Refund Pad, and they’ll help identify potential reimbursement claims from there.
They’re also unique in that they charge a flat-fee ($19/mo). So this could be a good option for smaller sellers who are not paying for any of the software suites mentioned above.
My Favorite Amazon Reimbursement Agencies

TrueOps is both the most seller-friendly and the lowest-cost reimbursement service in the industry, making it a no brainer #1 choice.
Seller Investigations will find more reimbursements with the deepest analysis in the industry, but comes at an incredibly steep price.
You should probably be using a reimbursement agency. This applies whether you do a first-pass to get the easy reimbursements or not.
3rd-party agencies have experienced auditors that are digging through accounts looking for reimbursements every day. They are able to see patterns across different accounts, and know how to phrase things within the claims process to ensure optimal outcomes.
The best part of 3rd-party reimbursement agencies is their incentives are aligned with yours. They only get paid a % of whatever reimbursements they successfully find and claim for you. I would not recommend any reimbursement agency who charges an up-front fee!
Most of these agencies are doing pretty much the same things. So the main determining factor should be cost, with some consideration for reputation/track record (as to avoid account suspension for being overly aggressive with reimbursement claims, which is generally rare).
#1: TrueOps
I’d say TrueOps is the most seller-first reimbursement service that exists. They focus less on making money and more on making customers happy than any others below.
Most agencies are nothing more than what you’d set up with some VA’s on your own. But TrueOps is a relatively new agency doing things differently. They claim to use proprietary software along with experienced American auditors to catch claims most other agencies miss.
They also offer things like claim delay options, which allows you to deploy the tiered claims strategy I lay out in my 2024 Amazon FBA Reimbursements Guide. This involves TrueOps waiting 90-days to go after claims, so you can do a first-pass and grab all the easy reimbursements (to avoid some commission fees!).
But even that is less necessary with TrueOps, as they don’t charge fees for reimbursed inventory (only other reimbursement categories).
TrueOps also has one of the cheapest commission rates in the space, charging 10% on any commissions they claim for you (except reimbursed inventory, as mentioned above). You can also use the JOIN10K coupon code to get your first $10k in reimbursements commission-free!
#2: Seller Investigators
Seller Investigators charges an outrageously high 25% commission on all reimbursements claimed. But they do an extremely deep dive and tend to find more reimbursements than any other agency.
Due to the sky-high commission rate, it’s not one I recommend to use on an on-going basis. But perhaps once a 12-15 months it could be a good idea do an extra sweep and catch anything that TrueOps may have missed.
NOTE: Seller Investigations also charges their 25% commission on reimbursement claims that Amazon would otherwise automatically find and return to you on their own. So I can’t stress enough, I only recommend Seller Investigators as a secondary auditor to do a deep-dive second-pass after someone like TrueOps!
Tools I Don’t Recommend
I’ve always been amazed at what some reimbursement agencies are able to charge. Maybe I am missing something, but I don’t understand why these services are so outrageously expensive. To my knowledge, none of the providers below do anything different or special apart from what I’ve recommended above.
- GETIDA: Charges 25% commission. Not as in-depth as Seller Investigators.
- Eva.Guru: Charges 11% commission + must pay for their software suite.
- My Refund Guy: 25% commission. Not as in-depth as Seller Investigators.
- Refunds Manager: 25% commission. One of the least in-depth in the industry.
- Seller Locker: I’ve heard 10% to 25% commissions. Also heard it’s not as in-depth as Seller Investigators.
- eStore Factory: 15% commission. Not as in-depth as TrueOps.
The Ultimate FBA Reimbursement Strategy / Stack
As I talk about in my 2024 Amazon FBA Reimbursements Guide, I think the ultimate FBA Reimbursement Strategy / Stack is this –
- Have someone on your team do a first-pass with Sellerise or Helium 10 to claim all the easy reimbursements
- Assign a lower-cost reimbursement agency like TrueOps as the primary auditor to claim all the commissions they can find
- Every 12-15 months, assign a more expensive & in-depth secondary auditor like Seller Investigators to do a final sweep and catch anything you or your primary auditor may have missed
This stack enables you to get the most money back you possibly can, at the minimal cost of time and money.
