Thank you for the excellent post
In 99designs and other logo contests site, designers reuse the logos with minor tweaks to suit the project name. You do get lots of ideas to choose from but most of them are just twisted versions of existing logos designed by the designers participating in the contest. You can find numerous articles on why crowdsourcing logos is not a good idea. Instead you can use a custom logo design company like 40dollarlogo which offers original concepts specifically as per your requirements though you won't get as many concepts as you'll get with logo contest sites.
You're so awesome! I do not believe I've read anything like this before. So wonderful to discover somebody with unique thoughts on this issue. Really.. many thanks for starting this up. This site is something that's needed on the web, someone with a little originality!
If you look at the contests on 99Designs, only 0-25% of submitted designs are relevant to the brief. It is arrogant to suggest that professional designers hate 99 Designs because they can't compete. They don't want to! Besides, 99 Designs charges the client a lot of money and only passes on a portion to the designer.
The article looks magnificent, but it would be beneficial if you can share more about the suchlike subjects in the future. Keep posting.
What a sensational post! I appreciate the efforts that blogger put on this blog. I love logo design because logos are identity of every business and brands. Thanks for the nudge!
You don't even have to launch your own contest anymore... you can just use one of those sites like 99Designs. I guess it might be more expensive than running a contest yourself, but it's surely a lot easier.

Great inspiration. Love to look at the designs. We are newly started real estate firm in Sunshine Coast, Looking for a designer for an eye-catching logo design in Sunshine Coast. Here I got awesome ideas to implement in our design. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing such an informative article but Whenever I come up with logo ideas…I generate approx. more than 10 logos but always have a tough time deciding on which logo to go with….so I have my friends and my seniors vote on their top 3 and I tally up the winners with the most votes and make the final decision on the top 3…but narrow it down based on how I want the site and business to look and feel.
